About

The CATALYST Initiative

Non-melanoma skin cancers (NMSCs) are the most commonly diagnosed malignancies worldwide. This heterogeneous group includes basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC). While BCC and cSCC are typically curable through surgical excision, some patients may develop advanced and metastatic disease with very poor prognoses. Emerging therapies target molecular pathways and immune dysfunction to treat these advanced and metastatic cases more effectively.

Our CATALYST initiative aims to support the multidisciplinary dermatology and oncology care team by providing scientifically rigorous and visually compelling education on managing NMSCs. We empower clinicians to make informed clinical decisions, conduct appropriate risk assessments, educate patients, foster effective communication, and select treatment regimens based on the latest clinical guidelines and trial data. This interactive program aims to help achieve optimal long-term patient outcomes by overcoming barriers to effective management.
